6th Annual Advanced International Certificate Course on IP Asset Management- (KIPO)

kipo_logoThe Korean Intellectual Property Office in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) is offering the Advanced International Certificate Course on IP Asset Management for business success based on IP PANORAMATM Multimedia toolkit in English.
According to the sources, the course consists of the following three components:

  • Online course;
  • IP essay test; and
  • Offline program.

The online course will be offered three times, for six weeks per session, all in English and with the assistance of course administrators and tutors through the KIPA e-learning website (http://www.ipdiscovery.net/_HTML/course_view.php?id=60).

It is based on the twelve modules of the English IP PANORAMA as per the following schedule:

  • Session 1: March 18 to April 29, 2015 (Enrollment: March 3 to 17, 2015)
  • Session 2: May 7 to June 17, 2015 (Enrollment: April 22 to May 6, 2015)
  • Session 3: June 24 to August 5, 2015 (Enrollment: June 9 to 23, 2015)

Up to 12 students from developing countries who are top performers in both the online course (Step1) and the IP essay test (Step 2) will be given an opportunity to participate in the offline program, which is a three-day face-to-face training to learn and discuss some advanced topics and issues on IP asset management.  These students will receive a scholarship to cover travel and accommodations in Seoul, Republic of Korea, in November.
